Yes, yes. I know I'm supposed to be reviewing the books I've been reading this year, but instead I'm reading a book of lists of fantasy (Read On...Fantasy Fiction by Neil Holland) so I can find yet more books to read. And in flipping through the recommendations, I found teh best summary of the Drizzt books to date:
Reading Salvatore may result in lost brain cells, but you won't feel pain as dark elf Drizzt Do'Urden and company hack and slash through enough nasty creatures to fill a big ugly zoo. Yes, the characters survive too many impossible situations; yes, they speak in one-liners; yes, it's immature and cliched; and, yes, you'll have fun reading it.
Exactly so. Rock on Neil Hollands and lets keep giving a certain dual-wielding angst machine all our fan girl dark elf lovin'.
