The left side of my face hurts like whoa

So one of my wisdom teeth is coming in and I'm pretty miserable. Apparently the other three came in and I didn't notice, but this last bugger, damn does it hurt. My tongue feel swollen and tastes like metal, my jaw is throbbing, I have a sore throat and a headache. According to the mother parental unit, these are normal symptoms and I'm not dieing.


I'd like to relate to you this wisdom tooth incident:

Me: "Oh holy crap, Ryan, I hurt. Love meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Pay attention to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." Throws self on reclining boyfriend who was previously engrossed in watching Robin Hood.

Ryan: "Wait, ooof, that hurt. Marian was on."

Me: "I feel so miserable.....my throat hurts....and it's making me coughy...."

Ryan: Tries to wriggle out from under me and fails. "Maybe you should stay away from me so I don't get what you have."

Me: Pouts but is secretly pleased because that was stupid to say. "But it's wisdom teeth. You can't catch wisdom teeth.

Ryan: Marian is back on, not paying attention. "Oh yeah....that's right."

Me: "I could prove it. Let me bite you."

Ryan: "Er, no."

Me: "I'm gonna. Hey, do you know what this means?"

Ryan: "Besides pain? What?"

Me: "I have more teeth with which to bite." Chomp.


And there ends my pointless story, of which the moral is I now have more teeth.

If they come in. A lot of people's don't even break through the gums :).

oh they are through the gums.. a little bit. I go for months with nothing and then my teeth will hurt for a few days and there one of the little monsters is. It is just not the whole tooth, so I cannot tell if it is crooked or not! If it is anything like mine your teeth will only hurt for a few days, so that is something good.

Lol, me too. But my mom was a dental assistant for twelve years and she says it looks fine and the other three came in fine, so I think I'm good.
