I le tired. Twas the first day of class. Yay! Because my classes are cool (Social history of the Black Death, History of Ancient Greece, Classical lit in translation, Ancient/Medieval Christianity) boo because I was up at six to be at CSU in enough time to find parking and then was at class till 2:35 and now must work till 8 p.m.


However, I am so happy to be re-reading the Aeneid.

oooo. Social History of the Black Death...I want to go! Nodding at all of this because, yeah, me too for the most part. It's good to get back, and at the same time I don't want to get up.

However, I am so happy to be re-reading the Aeneid. You know, that statement puts you in a very small subset of the worldwide population. =) (in other words, you are SO awesome!)

I am very, very excited for my classes this semester.

I love, love, love re-reading books with different professors. I think it adds a lot to the text to get multiple perspectives. I'm very glad that quite a few of the works in my classical lit in translation course are re-reads. I had a Great Books course with a professor who was an award-winning poet by pedigree so it will be nice to see these works from the perspective of a classicist.
