Sweet, sweet Vacation!!!!!!!!!
Jul. 26th, 2006 05:54 pmI have vacation time starting on the 29th and ending on the 14th of August. Two whole weeks of free time! Lovely! However, I have a huge to do list:
First up, book club business. Next week I shall have the second "official" post up for discussion on "The Handmaid's Tale". The following week, I will post the third and last post and we will wrap up "The Handmaid's Tale" and begin on Ursala K. LeGuin's "The Left Hand of Darkness".
Second on the list of doom, Broken Lands. I hope to have at least three or four "chapters" worth of material on Kiba/Shasta Daisy's background as well as some more head drawings and costume designs. So far the only one done is Cap'n McFlinty :(. I need not to be lazy.....
Thirdly, and best of all I need to read like a mad woman.
I have finished-- Margaret Atwoods "Tent", and "The Book Thief" as well as "In The Wake Of The Plague" by Norman F. Cantor.
tO rEaD
"The Count of Monte Cristo" (well, I started this book and am 3/4ths of the way through it, but I put it down for some reason...)
"When Darkness Falls"
The volumes 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of "Descendents of Darkness"
"Engine Summer"
"Bridge of Birds"
"Year of Wonders"
and a whole host of others, but those are on my priority list :).
And lastly, find time to watch
Wagner's "Ring Cycle"
"Ikiru"
"Toyko Story"
and get my science geek on with a documentary on neutrino particles and a biography on Gallileo. Woot vacation! It's time to play catch up.
