A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong...or thyroid disease gone wild

Allo all! I am actually conscious for the moment, hooray! Codeine might be a sissy pain killers as far as some are concerned but it knocks me the hell out.

Anyways, I was just posting to say, I am A-OKAY! I am cancer free and those little words made this whole freaking ordeal worth it. Now that the surgeon has actually seen inside my throat and my thyroid....they actaully, gasp, know what's wrong and can treat it. The problem with problematic thryroids is that all of the symptoms cluster...and appear to be the same....so all those scary cancer symptoms I had..well, they could have been cancer, and with my family history that was a very likely possibility, or they might not have been. But, now that I know it's not cancer...I feel fantastic! Well, as fantastic as one can feel post-op. I also feel itchy.

Anyway, getting sleepy again.....I have book reviews for peoples....will post later, when I can keep my eyelids open.

Congratulations on lack of cancer! (An RL friend of mine is actually recovering from thyroid cancer - she gets to be on all sorts of drugs and go in for testing twice a month.) Get some rest and I hope you feel better soon!

I am soooo, soooo very glad it wasn't cancer. It feels like a dodged a bullet. I am sorry to hear about your friend. Wish her luck for me! Thanks for the well wishes! They help!
