The Right to Vote

Alright kiddles, I was just reading an article in Rolling Stone about Ken Blackwell; it appears that the cheating bastard and his Republican lackeys in the General Assembly have put through tons of laws to rob Ohio citizens of their vote come this election in November. Like making it a felony for voters' rights groups to check registrations for inaccuracies as well as limiting the number of voter machines that are going to be available to the inner cities, where A) there is the highest population density and B) ::wink, wink:: most of the voters who will be voting for Strickland will be. I will be calling the local Democratic branch/ party/ whatever and see if there is anything I can do. Some of you had better be with me. Need I remind you that this bastard handed the election to Bush? And that if he becomes governor of Ohio no one will get funding---he is out to get rid of every form of aid available to the poor--so that means no school funding, no welfare, no libraries, no nothing. Ohio will turn to shit, further. But more importantly, this man who blatantly, has been proved, to cheat, to rob citizens of their most basic rights, will be in charge of the most important swing state come the new presidential election. For those of us who are tired of this right-wing bullshit, who enjoy the rights to reproductive freedom (and yes he does want laws that restrict the availability of not just abortion but birth controll and even condoms) and who like intellectual freedom, well, this chills us just a bit. We gotta start fighting back, the first thing is to help Strickland, who I am don't particularly like, win....
