Hey [livejournal.com profile] rayechu, I found some pictures that you can have for Gibson reference.

Unfortunately, nothing full body.

And another one! I love Haruka but my Gibson is so much cooler!

So for the sake of the Geas comice (really, it's all for you [livejournal.com profile] rayechu) I bought the art book for "Howl's Moving Castle". It was like forty bucks at Borders, but Amazon had it for 23.00 and so I could get free shipping, I just had to add something to my order, so I bought the first volume of the manga based on Jane Austen's "Emma" (which I have not read, but I LOVE "Pride & Prejudice") so I am fairly excited.

I normally don't rant about music because A) I have lamentable taste and thus no one really wants my recommendations or B) music is BACKGROUND to my life. I know people who would die without their ipods, who travel hundreds of miles to see live music, I'm not one of them. The book, the written text, is so much more central to my being that I am above and foremost a visual person, and visual meaning text oriented because I can't even begin to express what I feel about art. Most of the time music and art bring about this sense of inchoate longing that I can't quite reconcile with my natural loquaciousness. However, the words from The Decemberist's The Crane Wife keep looping around in my head like hawks and mist. It's beautiful, languorous music. So melancholy, with such simple lyricism. There's blood in the thread and it rakes at my heart". Just gorgeous. Here's a wikipedia article on the album. Run, don't delay. Buy it now. Pretty, pretty pretty.
