Dante yaoi

So,  as I am reading the Purgatorio for my Medieval Lit. class, I am struck by how yaoi fantastic the poem is, unintentionally of course. Seme Virgil and uke Dante, I think so. So, I'm just throwing this out there, for anyone, who like myself thinks the internetz don't have enough crack, someone should read the Divine Comedia, especially the Inferno, and produce some yaoi..I mean the scenes where Virgil clutches Dante to his breast and protects him....the scene in Purgatory where Virgil bathes our erstwhile pilgrim, c'mon, that's just begging for bishie lovin'. Plus, bishie demons and angels. The whole scene in circle eight, I think, with the Malebranche, as bishies, totally win. So, just saying, someone should draw this...and if no one does, when I become independently wealthy, I will commission it...which means hopefully someone draws it for free because I'm never going to be rich.

But I do have a legit reason for mentioning Dante..the Comedia, besides being a tremendous work of imagination and allegory, even though I don't speak Italian and must read an English translation, has lines of extreme beauty that make me pause and remember it's a poem. Here's one from the Purgatorio:

O human race, born to fly upward, why do you fall at so little wind?

That's from Robert M. Durling's English translation and it makes me wish I knew Italian even more.
