Does anybody remember that show Roar? The really crazy one that was on for like two weeks and then got canned because me and mom were probably the only core audience it had? The show was bizarre. I think, but don't quote me, that it took place in Ireland during the Roman invasion....so there were Romans. And a soul sucking witchy woman of some sort. And demons (I think). And druids. And lots and lots of really exposed skin. Well, remember that show? Because I had a dream that the goofy blond kid with what I assume was a warrior's braid but looked really retarded, well I dreamed that he moved in next door and I was like "Dood, do you remember that show Roar you were in? Because you know, it was supposed to take place in like Ireland but ya filmed it in Australia and I find that hilarious." And that was my dream. ZOMG, I think Heath Ledger played that kid, which just goes to show you what crappy TV can do for your career.

Also, I book review from one of the high schoolers that haunt the library; no Mr. Bush, apparently our children are not learning. See for yourself.

...In the end of the book many surprising occurances happened. With Jordan out of their lives they were much happier. Soon to their surprise Monique was going to make the biggest miskate of her live [sic] once again. Soon they found out Jordan Sparks was once again in their lives. Gerald was furious and Angel was scared & [sic} speechless. Monique said that Jordan was a changed man and to give him a chance. Gerald & Angel gave Jordan one last chance. Soon after that he began to get his trust back little by little. Until one day Jordan went back to his own habits and came home drunk and went Angel who was home alone. Luckily, Gerald came home to hear Angel screaming at the top of her lungs because of Jordan. Gerald ran up the stairs and started to fight Jordan. As they were fighting Gerald pushed Jordan to the wall and the TV fell on top of his head. They quickly tried to escape but to their surprise a raging fire was among the apartment. They finally found the door and ran outside to the police, fire fighters, and Monique. When they asked if Jordan was alive they said "NO" and Monique started to cry. With the flames and fears behind them, Gerald and Angel tode together to the music to the sirens which had decorated their past and would forge their future.

And yes the review, that they turned in, started with ...

and the ampersand was used.

Did you catch the part where not only was there death by TV but a fire as well? Because that cracks me up to no end.

But you know, the horribly, god awfully sad thing about this paper is that obviously the poor kid read the book, which is more than most of the kids in the class can say. I listened to them all day looking for summaries for their respective books on line. One kid even brought up a book and asked me if I had read it and if I could type up a review  for him.  I'm pretty sure that is a summary of a Triple Crown book of some sort, so at least it was at an appropriate reading level (well, maybe, Triple Crown and Harlequin are both written at sixth grade level and so yeah that's negligible) but at least they tried for an adult book.
