I'm thinking about reading Stephen King's new novel, Duma Key.

Yea or nay?

Should I read it? Are any of you thinking about reading it or have you read it? Or should I just ignore it despite having a jones for a good horror novel and despite it having pretty decent reviews? What say you, the flist?

I will be awaiting your response with baited breath....well, until it becomes apparent that I have to breathe again because no one is on to see my post.

Wait, you know a talking turtle? And you haven't introduced me?

Btw, how good is good? Cuz I have another horror novel lined up and I'm trying to decide.

well our turtle is old and can barely balance do math, so getting an answer to how good it is would be pretty hard. But I'm sure you've met her. cough*rgrandmacough

okay, from what I managed to understand she is only 30 pages into the book but said it is attention grabbing. Saying "you can't wait to see what happens next"

Lol, I get it grandma=turtle. Gotcha. I suppose that I will have to put it on hold then. It will definitely take awhile to get to me anyways.

Also, did your copy of "Across the Nightingale Floor" come in yet?

Hey, I am a semi-stalker, in that I nose past your journal on occasion. I liked Duma Key, the parts that I read. It doesn't seem like any of his other "new books" about a haunted house or a haunted car. I had to skip around in it a bit, because I only had a day or so to read it, but the parts I read really drew me in.

Dammit, the computer ate part of this. Basically: Joe Hill = Stephen King's Son. Joe Hill = Awesome Dude, read "20th Century Ghosts".

Joe Hill wrote "Heart Shaped Box" didn't he? I was thinking about reading that one, too. Lol, I guess I will have to check out "Duma Key" now. I was just a little apprehensive because flash backs of cell phone zombies keep popping through my brain. God, "Cell" was bad.

Also, I ordered "20th Century Ghosts" from the library. Thanks for the recommendation! I've totally been in a ghost story kinda mood.
