If I was going to make pastalitos with sweet potato and mango stuffing, what sorts of spices would I use? I want to make them more savory than sweet and I want to make them delicious and hearty but without using meat because my friend Clare who I am making them for has a hard time digesting ground beef.

on 2008-08-09 04:07 am (UTC)I don't know if you intend to fry or bake. However my dad attempted pastalitos via fry. two mistakes he made was that the oil was too shallow (it doesn't need to be deep though) and give it some time, he barley fried them. Also make sure they are completely covered, fried products with giant gaps don't fry the way they should.
