Know what commercial I hate? The Glade commercials where the Stepford Wife lies about the Glade candles and air freshners she buys and says things like "Oh, it's just some boutique-y fragrance I found."


Seriously, who lies about air freshners and candles.

And for the love of all that is good and human, who the fuck says "boutique-y"?


Gah. This has been bugging me for weeks. I just had to get it out of my system. Carry on, then.

Not to mention that no one who's actually a connoisseur of such things would ever mistake Glade air fresheners for a well-made fragrance. *pukes*

Yes, exactly. It is so sad that I have an opinion about these commercials.

I can't properly describe all the ways in which those commercials infuriate me. It kind of alarms me how strongly I react to them - it's like a scene in an anime where somebody's rage transforms them into a demon. People have to tell me to calm down.

(And I am actually the kind of person who buys cheap scented stuff.)

I hate them with a passion that should only be reserved for clowns and the IRS. I hate what they imply about women and I hate that their premise is lying about where you go your candle/air freshner.

I am saddened that a commercial causes such a reaction, but I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Yes, that commercial, like many others is annoying. I particularly hate where the one lady has to say "Glod*Day", but I am also bothered by the fact that they laugh about the lie. If your shallow enough to lie about your candle, what else are you hiding? but I must remind myself it is a commercial.
