So, I don't remember whose "Gimme Book Recs" thread I was hauting, but some one suggested Janny Wurts' Curse of the Mistwraith, and so, have seen it come through a couple of times, I ordered it from the library. I started it and have read to around page 150.

Thus far, I like, I really, really like. Though I could use some female characters, kthanx.

I ♥ Arithon. I just looked up the rest of the series and see it is ginormous. I hope that I do not get series fatigue.

Anybody else ever start a series and give up because it was so massively, massively long and well, you were exhausted?

Kate Elliot's Crown of Stars series is amazing and I think more people need to read it, but when it's seven books and each of them is at least 600 pages, burnout on it is a huge factor. I need to pick up book 5 again and keep working through it, though. It's worth the hugeness.

Oooo, I did read the first three books in the Crown of Stars series. I should read the rest then? It was one of those huge series that I debated about finishing because it was so long and huge, but if you think it's worthwhile, I think I shall re-read the first three and continue on.

It's definitely worth continuing, even though it gets confusing and plodding at points.
