I still have not finished cleaning the epic mess that is my room....mostly because I read all of Terry Pratchett's Small Gods in one sitting yesterday. I loved it. Really, really loved it. If I weren't an atheist, I'd be starting a New Revived Church of the Great God Om, who was of course my favorite character after Brutha.

I must go grocery shopping, for I am making cranberry fudge and onigiri for the road trip to New York I am taking this weekend. And I also need to buy a pair of decent walking shoes because I don't think my glitter flip-flops are gonna cut it. But JELLYFISH!!!!!!

And lastly, I started Nick Haraway's The Gone-Away World. I am absolutely loving it. I was skeptical because it's one of those books that everyone rants and raves about, but really, it's worth the praise so far.

I love Small Gods! It's my favorite Terry Pratchett book.

Also, I have to second the idea of getting good walking shoes for NYC. Everyone I know who comes to visit ends up with blisters on the first day otherwise. NYC involves lots more walking than people from other places tend to be used to.

I think Small Gods might be my favorite Discworld book to date. I adored it!

I remember last time I was in NYC. My feet cried, they hurt so bad. I live in Lorain, so the only walking I do is to the car....
