So, I haven't updated in awhile. Hehe. I had a birfday on Wednesday and I am now twenty-two with nothing to show for it but a cat and a new pimple. Lovely. But I got to hang out with peoples all week on my vacation, so that is cool.  I even saw [profile] leunsazul's super cool apartment. She bought me an awesome smoothie which fulfilled all of my raspberry dreams. My family party was canceled on Sunday, but that's okay cuz everyone else ( [profile] lenusazul, Claire, [personal profile] lady_bell, [profile] rokk_lobster, [profile] dosfoxand [profile] rayechu) you are all still invited for burgers and such and swimmimg and the much anticipated puppy explosion. Mawhahaha. Speaking of which [profile] rayechuhere is the menu:

1. hamburgers
2. hotdogs (but I may veto that)
3. pasta salad (I know you won't eat it)
4. cheesy potatoes (is that spelled with an e?)
5. confetti cake with mum's homemade chocolate frosting (just what a bunch of immature twenty somethings wanna eat, huh?)

anything you would like me to add so that you can eat, too?

Also, I have revised all of Shasta/Kiva's backstory. Hehehehe. It no longer takes place in our version of the "Underdark" because EVERY time I would write something, it seemed way too close to Drizzt and Menzoberranzan. Now it takes place in the ruin of an ancient mountain and I have lostsa cool surprises in store for all of you readers. Will post a diagram eventually because I am super excited now, I can finally get on with the show and write it!

Books:

Started a book of T.S. Elliots essays on poetry. It is very good and I shall discuss some of it when I am closer to the end.

Am now on page 749 of the Count of Monte Cristo....very good, very good. The count is so totally psycho...and now I have sucked all of my friends in. It's half past ten, do you know where the Count is?

Started a book called "The Toothfairy". Very dark, very bizarre. So far, so good.

Snagged a trilogy from the shelves today. I am in desperate need of decent cheesetastic fantasy. Hopefully "The Sword", "The Ring" and "The Chalice" fit the bill.

I am also almost finished on a treatise about magical belief and practice in the Middle Ages. Will discuss later and you will probably see some of the ideas from it appear in the way magic is set up in my Cere stories. Of which there isn't too much because A) Toby is a very hard character to get to know B) the way the magic was set up was stalling me, but now I have better ideas, so I will re-start writing in that world, mainly because as much as I love Shasta, Cere is where my heart is.
