Bride of the Water God Volume 3

I read Bride of the Water God Volume 3 last night. I must admit, I do not know what is going on, can keep no one straight and basically loved it because it was ridiculous and pretty. Oh was it pretty.

However, I am quickly losing patience with Habaek/Mui. Can't ya just tell a girl ya love her? Srsly, why the elaborate plan that plays with memories and forgetting and is going to cause so much heartbreak for everyone?

Also, I think I may be less confused if I knew a bit about Korean mythology...but I'm sorta enjoying the not knowing what the hell is going on or who any of the main characters are, so maybe I'll just keep myself in the dark. Sides, you don't need to think to appreciate pretty.

And lastly, freckled musicians for the win. I really, really hope she comes back because so far the minstrel type character is my favorite. I just wish I could remember names.

Because I totally don't have a research paper due on Friday...

...I started re-reading The Orc King, mainly because it's one of the only Drizzt novels I can find and it's getting close to October and my Drizzt fangirl countdown is going to officially start soon, and besides all the tangential stuff, what I really wanted to note is that Drizzt has a scarf.

So, he's misunderstood, has lots of ANGST which he journals about constantly, likes to watch the sunrise, spends lots of time by himself with just a cat....and has a scarf.
