Sorry Nicky, but I just finished Bleach 5 and I do not mind the "hair fairies" at all. They're kinda cool. Here's a wikipedia article on the fairytale where Orihime's name comes from. I think that is supah cool; sorry, no Orihime hate from me. (Although, Kon is still my favortie character.) "Taking out her hairpin, the Goddess scratches a wide river in the sky to separate the two lovers forever (thus forming the Milky Way, which separates Altair and Vega)" more references to Orihime's power this one taken from the link in the Tanabata article on Qi Xi.

Huh, now that I look more closely at the Tanabata article, it seems that there are a lot of elements from "Bridge of Birds" there. Neat. I love it when my hunches are correct and things relate back to other things.

I don't hate Orihime, I just don't like her. Like I said, I am very picky about my girl characters and have never been a fan of the shield/healer because they always get shoved to the side and the shield becomes useless later.
I really like Tsukake and so far she is the only person to not get something fun to do.

Yah yah:). But did you read the articles, am I crazy or do those seem like the probable source for his Jade Princess?

No I read them. I would think that that is at least some inspiration for the story especially when it gets to the bridge of birds part. There seem to be variations on that legend across Korea, China, and Japan and I could swear it is also similar to a Greek myth, but I can't remember it. I have the first few volumes of another manwha that follows the same/similar story.
