Silly question then: D&D... are you kids playing the pen and paper game? on a regular basis? long term campaign? standard set of rules (ie: 2ed, 3ed, 3.5?). If yes, do you have an opening?
We have a game...loosely based off of the rules (Nicky and I, um, don't understand then so well, so most of the time it's RYAN! how do I do this?) But I am DM for a campaign, it's pen and paper, long term, and 3.5 when we apply rules...but most of the time we play for the sake of pure story, so alot of rules get, er, ignored.. and you are more than welcome to play...it's set in the world the Gibson story was in, in fact that butler is an NPC.

Definitely interested. I used to play with a regular group twice a week. But the kids all grew up, went to college, etc. The last set of people I've played with were all min-maxer rules lawyers. Drove me nuts.
Cool. We're about seven sessions in, so have Nicky help you make a character...as DM, I pretty much don't care what you do (I believe I had them make level five characters so make whatever you are for level six because they're going to level up soonish)...although if you really really want to make me happy, don't play an evil character....not saying you can't, but, well......considering my storyline.....probably not a good idea...
I'm quite looking forward to this. Problem is, I don't have the 3.5 PHB, so I'll need to get with someone. I have a general idea what I want to do, but I'll wait until I can talk to Nicky and see what the rest of the group is doing.
Oh I ordered you the 3.5 handbook. You can also ask rokk_lobster any questions. I actually don't really , um, know the rules, per se...Ryan did everyone's sheets, I just tell the story :).
That's cool (You not knowing the rules and telling the story). Be kind of nice to be in a story.
Too Funny... I work in a library too, and I didn't even think of ordering the handbook. I shouldn't have much trouble creating the character; I'm just not up on the latest changes to skills per level. They have all changed from the old days when I was playing regularly; having the handbook to check that stuff is all I'll need. Be glad to have him look it over though when the time comes.
I see a halfling wizard named Gandolf whose only spell is charm person; going to be Nicky's best friend. :)
